Flights resume at Edinburgh Airport

Flights have resumed at Edinburgh Airport after being halted earlier this morning because of an IT issue affecting air traffic control.

The airport announced at 9.30am that flights were suspended and it told passengers to contact their airline for the latest information. Some incoming flights were diverted to other airports.

Flights are now operating again, although the airport’s website shows some inbound and outbound flights have been delayed or cancelled.

Earlier, an Edinburgh Airport spokesperson said: “Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport.

“Teams are working on the issue and will resolve as soon as possible.”
