The owners of an independent agency in Swindon are preparing to open a new store in the Cotswolds for their cruise and touring brand, Premium Cruises and Tours, which currently trades only online.
Swindon Travel Hub co-founders Shaun Jones and Ashley Hunt will open the store in Cirencester on 12 December, with Silversea and AmaWaterways branding. It will focus on selling high-end cruises and tours.
The duo have recruited one member of staff and plans to have up to three more.
Shaun has already taken bookings from customers who have seen the shop is being refitted, ready for its opening next month. “Cirencester was a location we always wanted to be in, and it’s 20 minutes from where we are now. The chance came up earlier this year but it fell through, so we have kept our eyes open for the right premises, which we now have.
“It’s now a home for the online brand, which we are so pleased about – and the demographic in this area is fantastic for our offering. Premium travel is increasing, so it felt the right time. The shop will feature a bar, which we already have in Swindon. We are taking what works there and bringing it to Cirencester.”
The pair opened Swindon Travel Hub, in Swindon’s Old Town, in August 2024. It trades under Barrhead Travel’s Managed Service Travel Partner.
