Hays Travel is hosting its first ‘Conference on the River’ with 140 members of staff joining Riviera Radiance the day after the ship’s christening ceremony in Budapest.
From today, (27 November), agents from across the company’s retail shops, brands, call centre, homeworking and Independence Group divisions will join a four-night sailing along the Danube, with stops in Bratislava and Vienna.
Hosted by Hays Travel Head of Cruise Catriona Parsons, the conference theme is ‘Cruising into the future’.
Agents will be joined by suppliers from ocean and river lines, including Riviera Travel, Hurtigruten. Azamara Cruises, Marella, Royal Caribbean International, Ambassador Cruise Line, Vista, Avalon Waterways, Celestyal Cruises, and MSC Cruises.
Catriona said: “I am so excited about the conference and getting onboard. It’s so great to give our agents time on the ship to experience river cruising, as well as visit Christmas markets in Bratislava and Vienna.
“We’ve invited the suppliers along so the agents can really learn from them – as well as breakout and training sessions, they might be eating breakfast with them on the ship and get some great ideas from conversations.”
